From a small local shop to South Carolina’s largest aquarium store, Fishy Business has been helping hobbyists build and enjoy aquariums for decades.
Our Story
Fishy Business Aquariums is a locally owned and operated aquarium store based in Columbia, South Carolina. Over the years we’ve grown into a 10,000 square foot destination for freshwater and saltwater hobbyists across the state.
What started as a passion for fishkeeping has turned into a full-service store and support team: hundreds of display tanks, dedicated coral and plant systems, and staff who live and breathe aquariums.

Our goal is simple: help you build an aquarium that you enjoy for the long term. That means honest advice, realistic stocking plans, and support when things don’t go as planned. We focus on education and long-term success instead of quick sales.
